It is a beautiful thing when two passions can come together. Filming and Birding for example. As you may know Trevor spends a lot of time filming stock footage. He will film just about anything from boiling water on the stove, to time-lapses of sunsets (You can always check out more of T-Ro Films stock footage on Pond 5). However, one of Trevor’s favorite things to film is the Sandhill Cranes and Snow Geese at Bosque del Apache in San Antonio, NM. Each winter thousands of these birds flock to Bosque del Apache for food and refuge.

Each winter thousands of these birds flock to Bosque del Apache for food and refuge. It is quite a sight to see. If you have never been witness to this migration you really should check it out. However, if you are not able to get down there, check out some of the video Trevor shot and some photography by Cassie. We noticed that the numbers were a lot lower this year and asked where all the cranes had gone. The friendly staff pointed us to Bernardo (just a short drive north) to where there was more food available, thus more birds! It was so awesome to get right in the midst of the cranes and geese soaring above and landing just feet away from you. Enjoy these videos and pictures.
